Why Charter a Yacht in Phuket, Thailand
Phuket sits on an island ringed by crystal clear waters, with white sand beaches and a beautiful lush vegetation. It is one of Thailand's most popular islands, and is famous for its breathtaking landscapes, stunning beaches and bustling nightlife. Spend the day snorkeling in its waters exploring the majestic coral reefs or sail along its calm seas from one picture perfect destination to another.
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and home to a quarter of a million people. It is located on Thailand’s west coast in the Andaman Sea and boasts year-round temperatures that vary from the low 70s to the mid 90s. For the seafood lovers, lobsters and fresh fish are abundant in this region.
Board your yacht in Phuket City and begin cruising southwards along the island’s coast to explore all its natural wonders. This coastal area is scattered with countless stunning islands with pristine crystal blue waters and white sandy beaches, hidden caves and impressive coral reefs. Drop anchor at any point along your cruise to swim in the majestic water, snorkel through the colorful reefs or simply jetski along the gorgeous limestone coast.
After enjoying a chef cooked lobster meal onboard, tender ashore to Kata Noi beach - it is a small beach but the scenery is stunning. Take some time to relax and sunbathe on the white sands, or begin making your way up to the forty five meters tall Phuket Big Buddha sitting at the top of the Nakkerd Hills; this is one of the most famous landmarks in all of Phuket.
Make your way down to the southern part of Phuket, to Nai Harn Beach. Despite being a popular beach, it is still relatively untouched and maintains a lot of its original traces: spectacularly soft white sands and crystal clear waters. Spend the day lounging in the sun, and explore the various restaurants and local shops nestled beneath the large trees.
Surin Beach is another of Phuket’s note-worthy beach. Commonly known as ‘Millionaires Row’ it is home to the rich and famous and boasts the island’s best waterfront luxury resorts. Step ashore and experience this part of the island, dine in one of its high-end cuisine restaurants overlooking the beach and later make your way to one of its trendy wine bars.
Whilst cruising to all the sites in Phuket, you must spend the day at Phang Nga Bay. The bay houses approximately 40 small islands and is full of lagoons, caves and mangroves, all of which you should take the time to see although seeing everything in one day could be a challenge.
